9/11

I was thinking last night about all those people that lost their lives on this date back in 2001. It is so sad that these people had started their day at work and never got to enjoy this day or go back home to their families.

Do you remember what you were doing on this day back then? I was at home and remember when the planes hit the towers. I kind of felt alittle panicy. I thought myself we were at war and something like the movie "RED DAWN" was happening and had no idea what to really do. I do remember going to the school to pick up my nephew and it seemed to me that every parent had the same idea and was upset that this was going on and wanted to be with their children.

take time today and reflect on those that are not with us today!!!

dont know if i told you, but i was there that day. met a guy in miami who offered me a job in NY so i went. i was going to work at the towers no less. anyways, i was on my way there to meet him at the towers, but for some reason, i overslept so i was late getting there. while on the subway it suddenly stopped and we all wondered what happened, when we came out we saw the 1st tower burning, and then at that moment the 2nd plane came in and crashed. i was scared and angered and sad. my friend died that day at the towers, he didnt have a chance, he was at the top floor. to think how some people hate the US and its freedom, when many of us just strive to live in it, just boggles my mind.

as catholic, this day is our patron saint´s day. so i always go to churh on this day and pray for the souls of the lost ones.
