I was thinking last night about all those people that lost their lives on this date back in 2001. It is so sad that these people had started their day at work and never got to enjoy this day or go back home to their families.
Do you remember what you were doing on this day back then? I was at home and remember when the planes hit the towers. I kind of felt alittle panicy. I thought myself we were at war and something like the movie "RED DAWN" was happening and had no idea what to really do. I do remember going to the school to pick up my nephew and it seemed to me that every parent had the same idea and was upset that this was going on and wanted to be with their children.
take time today and reflect on those that are not with us today!!!

dont know if i told you, but i was there that day. met a guy in miami who offered me a job in NY so i went. i was going to work at the towers no less. anyways, i was on my way there to meet him at the towers, but for some reason, i overslept so i was late getting there. while on the subway it suddenly stopped and we all wondered what happened, when we came out we saw the 1st tower burning, and then at that moment the 2nd plane came in and crashed. i was scared and angered and sad. my friend died that day at the towers, he didnt have a chance, he was at the top floor. to think how some people hate the US and its freedom, when many of us just strive to live in it, just boggles my mind.
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the consent of the governed,
I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon the principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and their fortunes.
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.",
Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.....
...that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation under God shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.
as catholic, this day is our patron saint´s day. so i always go to churh on this day and pray for the souls of the lost ones.
