Thanksgiving Poem

last year,
for Thanksgiving,

We had a blazing wood fire,
A golden-brown bird roasting,
And love was so plentiful,
I thought it would lastforever.

This year,
I'll turn the furnace up
a degree or two.
Make a Salami sandwich,
and drink a bottle of wine.

I dont remember you now,
But,I hope I said some sort of thanks
for all the things I had
last year!
