the Lord!

Ok today I am going to talk about something that is on my mind.......
I do believe in god but dont go to church for reasons and I am going to try to talk about those reasons today...I feel that if I believe in god then I shouldnt have to go to church. God is in your heart and not a building. My neighbor over the weekend told me about this mega church and how big they have gotten and that she wont go back to the church because of it. this mega church has 12,000 members. the singles ministries even one night rented out a nightclub (if your a church you are giving mixed messages is you rent out a night club). she goes on to tell me that this church is go big now that the pastor has to to have bodyguards....come on already......this is one of the reasons I dont go to a church...another reason is that every time that i go they try to make you feel guilty of any sin you have done...if I want to drink a beer(which I havent in over 2 yrs) then I should be able to do so. If I want to listen to rock music then I should be able to. If I want to have long hair then that shouldnt be a problem. God doesnt care if you listen to rock music with long hair ...you are his child and he loves you no matter what. we have all sinned alittle and we are not perfect people. another reason I dont go is because alot of the churchs act like it is HOLLYWOOD! A big stage....then some even beg you for money like that one mega church they want you to give them you checking account number....WRONG!!!..plus all the bad pastors like Jim baker and good ole Tammy faye...Pat robertson.....those are the reasons that I dont go to a church and for those that ask me why I dont go ...then read my blog.....

god please help our country.....

I just watch some tv before deciding to go to bed and I saw the mother of one of the soilders that was killed last weekend. I feel for her because she wont be able to see her son again.....fort campbell has lost over 150 men to this war. is this war really worth losing all these good young kids? It scares me to death that north korea is thinking about launching a missle and Mr bush wants to fire on them before they do. This will already put a burden on the military forces if we start yet another war. I am really pissed right now and I am going to write my senator. GET OUR PEOPLE OUT OF IRAQ ..NOW!!! take them out and forget about those people over there let them worry about themselfs....maybe if enough americans raised enough hell then something could be done.....lets get something started and get our service people out of there now . If I could tell the president one thing I would tell him this "stop the madness and listen to your people of this country we are sick of this and want this war to stop!!!"

grow baby grow!!

Well I have now seen another hotel maybe being built in downtown Nashville. There is on going to be on west end then one on lower broadway and then another on muscis row....plus the signature tower and the other sky scraper being finished now....I guess the skyline will look bigger than Atlanta. I knew yrs ago that Nashville would grow and be the city to live but We have to make sure we dont grow to much for it might hurt the city. with the growth in Murfreesboro as well will we become like Dallas/Fort Worth? The city better start to look at the roads and schools more so they can go ahead and improve them now. I want Nashville to be a big city....its time we got up to date with other cities...I am from Dayton Ohio and that city has really gone down hill since I moved in 1980. I say bring on the growth for there will be more jobs and taxes being paid....also this past weekend was the cma music festival and the city shined and showed their southern spirit and hope all of those visitors will speak highly of our wonderful city and tell everyone that Nashville was good to them so others can find out for themselfs about how GREAT Nashville really is. So all I can say is watch out Atlanta we are catching up to you and will pass you soon........
