Happy New Year!!

I want to take this time right now to wish everyone online a Happy New Year! I am working 6 days a week now so my post will not be as many but the money will be great for me. I hope everyone doesnt drink and drive this weekend but if you are out stop in new years eve night to see me I will be working from 10 pm till 7am. once again happy new years!!!

How do you feel now?

I always feel alittle down the day after Christmas. I don't know if it is me or everyone else but the big day has come and gone and now I feel weird. The anticipation of the big day then it is all over in just a few minutes. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the time with the family and all the food we ate. I am glad now that it is over for another 365 days. This week is going to be another busy week at work for we have a church group of 300 coming in wed night at 1am and then of course New Years Eve celebration going on Sunday night. I hope everyone has enjoyed the holiday.

Single and alone for Christmas day?

If you are single, alone and not doing anything on Christmas day then I invite you to come on out to the Smyrna Bowling Center. We will be opening up at 3pm for those that want to get out of the house and do something. We will be open this evening until the last person leaves and if no one leaves then we will be open 24 hours. The center is always open 24 hours from Tuesday thru Sunday. if you bored tonight then come on out and see me I will be there from 12am to 9 am entertaining the young people of the area. Merry Christmas!

Christmas memories

I have turned 40 this year. This time of year always brings back memories to me when I was growing up. I have moved from where I grew up as a child and I now reflect on those memories. I remember my one aunt on my fathers side, She and I always went shopping in downtown Dayton Ohio. We would ride the city bus and then do our shopping and always have lunch downtown. I miss her so much for she has been gone 15 or so years now. Another aunt on my fathers side was always so sweet. I would go and spend the night with her and we would stay up late at night and watch Johnny Carson, cook popcorn and bake fudge. When I would go over to spend the night in the summer months we would always put up this table top Christmas tree and play my favorite song " rocking around the Christmas tree". She lost her mind and was put in a home where she later died. another aunt on my fathers side would always cook the family a Christmas breakfast of sourdough pancake sausage with Canadian maple syrup...mmmm. she is also gone. Christmas eve we would always go over to one of the families homes and it always snowed and we would never leave until after midnight and I remember looking up in the sky to see if i could see Santa . Those times are long gone now for they happened in the 70's. I am trying to make sure my nephew has good memories of me for when I am dead and gone! May you and yours have a great holiday season and cherish the memories now.

Well the time is here and its now the holiday weekend and I hope everyone has their shopping done. I have a few more things to get this weekend. I will be working at the Smyrna Bowling Center this weekend so come on out and get elfed.

What ever happened to the giving at Christmas?

I remember growing up in the 1980's that the people in the music business did so much for the poor. They live aid, Band aid, etc and now the musicians seem like they just don't care as much! I hear alot of country singers helping out but the top 40 groups and rap groups don't seem to care as much. The war In Iraq seems to be on everyone mind but we seem to forget the children over there. They don't need to be taught hate! If everyone would try to get along then the world would be such a better a place. The leaders in the world need to step back and try to get along! Here is a video of musicians doing their part back in the 80's and this should be restarted again for those less fortunate!!

I have always said that if you mess up then you should pay for your mistakes. I have been watching the news and they are still searching for the Mt Hood Climbers that are lost in a storm. There have been many stupid mistakes by others in the past and we the tax payers have to pay for them. Like people driving in high water when we all are told not to drive in high water. People doing stupid things that we have to pay for. I feel that things like this should be paid for by the people that are stupid enough to do these things. The climbers know its winter time and the Mt Hood area will be having alot of bad weather but why should we the people that don't climb pay to rescue them? The weathermen tell us " turn around don't drown" but assholes still drive in high water and when they get rescued they say " I didn't know any better" how hillbilly can you be? Stop wasting our taxes you morons!!

Its time people for me to get off my lazy ass and get some shopping done. I have not bought a single thing so far and need to go this evening and get all my shopping done. A VERY VERY SAD DAY!

I have woken up and now relize it is a very very sad day for me. I have to go in to the rink tonight around 9pm and check on the new guy and if he is doing well then I have to hand my key over to him and I will be no longer working for the rink. I am sad yes because I have been there so long and the people there are like family to me. I have made the choice to move on and try to better myself. The rink has taught me so much about growing up. 3 yrs ago I was a job hopper and I can happily say now I am not. Thank you for everything you guys have done at the rink. Lets keep in touch!!

Finally finishing up!

I have put the trees up 2 weeks ago and with mom and myself being down with the funk she is just now decorating the trees! We are not going to do anything to the outside this. Its just too late now. We like to put our stuff up at the 1st of Nov. Working 2 jobs has me so far behind on things here at the house. I usually have things baked already but maybe in the next few weeks I can get that done. Christmas isnt suppose to be stressfull is it? I dont have 1 present bought yet either and still no idea on what to get anyone.....I am about to say BA HUMBUG!!!!

Well it's colder than a witches titty in a brass bra this morning. I left work at 6:30am and the temp outside is 13. Can it get any colder? I am now laying in my warm bed trying to get sleepy but need to post some this morning too. Anyone have a blog that if I read it will put me to sleep? lol

Thank god its Friday!!

Well its Friday and I am so glad even though I have to work all weekend. I get to train a newby with me this weekend and hope this person works out and doesnt quit. My job is one that they have problems finding someone to do for its the same thing over and over plus you work alone and its not a 40 hour a week job. My boss has been great the last 2 1/2 yrs but its time for me to move on since a new job has insurance plus the workload its as bad as current. I am happy with the new job and the benefits are wonderful. I hear we even get a Christmas bonus which the old job doesnt. I want to thank Paul and David for giving a great job. I will try to post more soon and if you dont already know I have a new blog for the SMYRNA BOWLING CENTER!!!

Update on me!

I haven't posted as much as I normally do and that is because I am working alot at the Smyrna Bowling Center and alittle at the rink. Since I have given my notice at the rink they have decided to cut my hours there. Instead of getting 30 hours a week I am now lucky to get 20 hours per week. I feel they are alittle upset with me now but I am only leaving them because I have topped out on any more raises and also the bowling center is paying half of my health insurance which the rink doesn't offer insurance. gave the rink a 3 week notice but feel that I wont be there much longer for they are very cold towards me now they feel I have put them on the back burner which I haven't. I clean like I am there full time and have not stopped doing my job. I am grateful that they did give a job when I really needed it and treated me great. I have to better myself with another job now and I feel that as long as I am happy where I work then everything is fine. I have been at the bowling center 3 weeks and already got a 50 cent raise and the gang at the bowling center is so happy I am there. I have made new friends and learning more about how to run a business. come out and see me sometime folks.

Training for the Titans

I am not a big football fan but I have an idea and maybe Jeff Fisher ad his team will listen to me. I feel maybe they should get on the bus and make a trip to Smyrna and have the head coach there teach them a thing or two since Smyrna is now state champions! I couoldnt beleive Smyrna actually won. WOW!!! The city now has another title other than the 2005, 2006 bowling champs way to go guys!!!

Bloggers league starting...

I am wanting to start up a bowling league after the holidays and everyone that blogs is invited to join. I am wanting to start the league on the 2nd week of the new year. I would like to try to have at least 6 teams of 4 and run the league for 8 weeks or so!
