Shoppers on High Alert

Ok here is something I am going to talk about alittle more but first read this article from channel 5 then I will talk more about this and my feelings......

More problems near Hickory Hollow Mall have some shoppers wary.
Just last week, the mall started a new rule stating teens could only come to the mall late nights on the weekend if they're with an adult. On Friday night, police had to break up a fight after a carnival on mall property got out of hand. This incident did not happen in the mall, but shoppers are still thinking twice about shopping there.
Some Hickory Hollow shoppers were glad to know the mall is stepping up efforts to make the place safer. Mall managers recently started a new policy banning teens from being in the mall without an adult on Friday and Saturday nights. The move was to cut down on crime and gang activity, but that didn’t stop a brawl late Saturday night. A fight broke out just before 11:00 pm at a carnival in the mall parking lot. Metro police say it started with two young girls, but quickly grew to include several people.
Shoppers said it’s situations like this that have them thinking of shopping somewhere else. Luckily there were no reports of any serious injuries as a result of that fight. No word on what charges the teens could face.
The Hickory Hollow Mall is owned by the same company that owns the Rivergate Mall and Cool Springs Galleria. They have not started similar programs at either of those malls.

Ok this goes out to all parents!! listen up......I hope you are raising your kids to become good kids because some of you are really not being good parents. It is really bad when the majority of us fear going to a mall because of these teens that have no guidance from theier low down good for nothing parents. I remember when the mall used to be fun but since all the gangs and mexicans moved into the area and taken over the mall its just not safe to go now. the holidays are coming up and the mall wont be busy...just tear the mall down and the kids will have no place to go then...Alot of this has to do with the music they listen to...have you as parents heard this music? Its gangster music...where are we going with our country? will the next few yrs hold a president that has so much gold around his neck it blinds you when he is on tv or he will have gangs as a body guard and then drugs will be legal and you can go to walmart and buy a pack of joints for $20.00.....I ask this of parents...please work with your kids and teach them not to be gangster..this is causing alot of problems!!! thank you

a facial profile

A friend of mine online a few weeks ago had an article he wrote about whate your face says about you so I figured I would write about it too since we have different readers. I hope Nathan doesnt mind I copied his list? go ahead a see for yourself what kind of person you are by looking at your face!!!

- Face shape

Long and thin: A person with this kind of face is generally capable of endurance and resolve. If, in addition, the person has regular, attractive features, they will not leave things half done.Round: A round shape signifies hopefulness and vitality. Radiant, they can turn a stuffy room into a barrel of laughter.Broad: Not only are these people tolerant and compassionate, they’re usually broad-minded.Square: These are individualistic people who are strong-minded in achieving their dreams; they are people of action and swiftness.

- Forehead

Smooth: Someone who has no lines on his forehead is a cerebral person; they’re always thinking and making quick decisions.Wrinkled: If there are horizontal lines across the forehead, this indicates that the person is easily excited and enthused.

- Eyes

Stressed: If you notice some white between the iris and the lower eyelid of both eyes, the person is stressed and worried.Fierce: If the white part is showing above the iris, this means that on top of stress, the person is likely to respond violently.Detached: If white is showing all around the iris, run. This signifies that the person is mentally unstable and that they may go postal at any minute. Think Toni from Paradise Hotel .Lines: Should you notice small lines on the outside of the eyes, you are in the presence of someone who smiles a lot and is, generally speaking, happy.

- Eyebrows

Straight: Level, horizontal eyebrows signify an idea person. Talking facts and suggestions with them will get you far.Curved: If the eyebrows of the person are arched, they enjoy anecdotes.Thin: These are people with low self-confidence, especially if the eyebrows are high and round. Reassure them and let them know you’re not judging them. Even though you are.Unbroken: If you see someone with the proverbial unibrow, you are faced with a person who is constantly thinking, and you might benefit by encouraging them to share their ideas.

- Eyelids

Small: When the distance between the top of the eyelid and the eyelashes is narrow, this indicates that the person is independent and may even voluntarily keep their distance from others.Large: On the other hand, a large eyelid is a sign that the person is victim of dependency.

- Nose

Small: It is believed that people with a small snout are inherently weak. Often unreliable, they’re not steadfast in their decisions.Large: A large nose is a sign of initiative and determination, a strong character who leaves his mark.Blunt: The nose may be large but if the tip is blunt, it suggests that the person is not formal with their surroundings. Pragmatic, they believe in themselves and approach others boldly.Aquiline: Such a nose is characterized by being small and straight, sharp like a blade. People so adorned are generally self-centered, indecisive and sensitive.

- Ears

Small: Small ears are usually a sign of insecurity, but these people know what they want and are hard workers.Pointed: Just like their spokesperson Mr. Spock, people with pointed ears are inflexible and have difficulty being laid-back.Hairy: Not only is a person with lots of hair on their ears funny to look at, but they are also meticulous. The problem is that they often squander loads of energy on unimportant items.

- Chin and jaw

Square jaw: People with square jaws are indomitable and have the ability to turn their dreams into reality.Protruding chin: If the person’s chin noticeably sticks out, they are self-important. They believe they hold the almighty truth and no one else is ever right.

- Cheeks

Well-developed: Cheeks shaped this way are a sign of vigor, energy, self-assurance, and people who have such cheeks are willing to accept other people’s mistakes.Dimples: In addition to being attractive, dimples symbolize a person’s congeniality.

- Lips

Full: On top of enhancing good looks, full lips characterize generosity and a desire to talk about oneself.Thin: If the lips aren’t particularly bulbous, it is a sign of an innate introverted personality.Thin top and full bottom: In the event that the person has a thin upper lip and a more generous lower lip, it’s an indication that the person is very persuasive.

why is this player on our team?

Ok I have a question for all of you today.....why is Pac man jones still playing ball for the Titans since he has been in trouble many times...this is because he got into trouble again in The Boro last night....the players respresent our city and they need to behave and not act like they are ghetto..here is the article from dnj

Titans cornerback Pacman Jones was arrested early Friday morning on charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, according to Murfreesboro police.Jones was arrested at 1:34 a.m. after an incident at Sweetwater Saloon on Main Street.According to police, Jones was observed arguing with a female, who Jones accused of taking his wallet, putting it in her purse and then passing it around. After Jones was asked to leave, police said he began yelling profanities and was arrested by Officer Matt Baldwin.Jones was also said to have bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol."Mr. Jones was given several opportunities to leave, he just wouldn't do it,'' Lt. Alvin Baird said. "As he was leaving he hung out the passenger side of the vehicle and began yelling profanities at the security at Sweetwater Saloon, and he put us in a place where we had to do something."He was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.''Jones posted bond of $750. His court date is Oct. 12 at 8 a.m. at General Sessions Court.Jones was also accused of simple assault by Toya Garth, who said Jones spit in her face. Garth said Jones "got very close to her and spit in her face, and which point she stated she spit back in his face,'' according to statement taken by police. Both charges are misdemeanors.Jones, a first-round draft pick last season, has been involved in several off-field incidents since last season.Check dnj.com and The Daily News Journal for updates on this story.— Jim Wyatt, Gannett/Tennessee

Childhood memories!

When i was a child my mother's side of the family always planned and visited an amusement park about 45 minutes from our home. We did this once a summer and the memories were wonderful. I had so much fun. We stayed all day and rode so manye rides. This park isnt like the ones we have around today. This park was geared toward younger children and more towards the family. The name of this park was called fantasy farm. Today I found the website of the old park and it has been closed down for some time and looking at the pictures there is so sad!!

this is cute!! please read....

Four United States Presidents get caught up in a tornado...And off they whirled to the land of OZ.

They finally made it to the Emerald City and went to find the Great Wizard.

"What brings the 4 of you before the great Wizard of Oz?"

Jimmy Carter stepped forward timidly and said:
"I've come for some courage."

"No Problem! Said the Wizard. Who's next?"

Richard Nixon stepped forward,
"Well, I think I need a heart

"Done! Says the Wizard.
Who comes next before the Great and Powerful Oz?"

Up stepped Dubya and said, I'm told by the American people that I need a brain."

"No problem! Said the Wizard.
Consider it done."

Then there is a great silence in the hall.
Bill Clinton is just standing there, looking around,
But he doesnt say a word.
Irritated, the Wizard finally asks,

"Well, what do you want?"

"IS DOROTHY HERE?"

The 2006 version of I WILL SURVIVE

SING IT GIRLS!!!

At first I was afraid, I was petrified.
When you said you had 10 inches, Lord I almost died!
But I'd spent so many years just waiting for a man that long,
That I grew strong,
And I knew that I could take you on...
But there you are, another lie,
I was ready for a Big Mac and you've brought me a French Fry!
I should have known that it was bulls***t, just a sad pathetic dream
Should have known there was no Anaconda lurking in those jeans!
Go on now - go, !
Walk out the door,
Don't you promise me 10 inches,
then turn up with only 4!
Weren't you a brat to think I wouldn't find you out!?
Don't you know we're only joking when we say size don't count??!!

[Chorus]

I will survive! I will survive!
Cuz as long as I have batteries,
My sex life's gonna thrive!
I will always have good sex,
with a handful of latex!

I will survive! I will survive!
Hey! Hey!
It took all my self control not to laugh out loud, When I saw your
little weiner standing tall and proud!
But to hell with your ego and to hell with all your needs,
Now I'msaving all my lovin' for a cordless multispeed!

[Chorus]

I will survive! I will survive!
Cuz as long as I have batteries,My sex life's gonna thrive!
I will always have good sex,
With a handful of latex!
I will survive! I will survive! Hey! Hey!

The country is a mess

I am going to be serious today and talk about the mess our great country is in. We as a people would rather watch someone eating worms, roaches or jumping off something high in order to win $50,000. Well there is a channel that shows our government in action and what our elected officals are voting for...it is call Cspan and this will be somewhat boring to most but this is what our country is working on for bills and our rights. I am not into much T.V. ONLY watch the news and cnn. Our people needs to stand up and take this country back and stop all of this hogwash in Washington. They are there to make money for themself through all the prok they put in their bills they pass. We need to get out and vote this Nov. and take our country back and get the deficit back in shape before Bush took office. VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!

Summer is almost over!

Well everyone today was the first day back to school for the youngness here and that means for me that my hours at work are down to about 30 now until the holidays come around. This summer has been hard on me working 6 days a week and even a few times where I had to work 20 to 21 days straight.....The heat hasn't been my friend at work even though I work indoors the air where I work doesn't seem to work when its this hot outside. I will now be working on fall cleaning getting ready for all those holiday parties that we have. I am one lucky guy though, to have a job where I work alone go in when I want to , take breaks whenever a wild hair gets up my butt, and work with no drama. My boss has been good to me the last two years and hopefully soon I will be getting another raise. The only thing that is bad about this job is the benefits, there are now other than a weeks paid vacation. I am not stressed anymore like I was when I worked in management at fast food or retail. I don't have to deal with people just have to clean up after them which is so much better. I saw an ad yesterday for Halloween stuff already and I know Christmas isn't far behind...I need to go and put my stuff on layaway or start buying things for the family soon. I always say I am going to hit the sales right after the holidays but I never do! I will be blogging more now that I am off 3 days a week now so stay tuned for whats going on with me could get interesting at times......

NEAT!!

Hey, this is weird. It looks as though it's moving, but it's not. The shapes confuse the eye (really the brain) into believing that they are moving.

Please stop I want off!!

Well it seems to me that life is going so fast and so quikly. Has anyone every had a time where life was just moving so fast for them and you wish you could stop time and just rest? Well I know I do. It is already August and the month is almost half gone. WOW! Seems to me that I just dont have enough time in my day to rest. I feel life is passing me by because all I do is work work work! I am hoping since school starts back next Monday things might slow down for me. It seems like the 19080's and 1990's flew by and I dont remember much of them. When you get older time does fly by and dont let anyone tell you differently. I am going to ask you a question or 2 today and would like some response.

1. Are you ready for death?

2.What would you like to do today if today was your last day here on Earth?

3.If you could would you go back and change anything in your past?

4. If you could would you go back in time?

Now I know most of you will think why is he talking about death today? Well death is something we have to get ready for and most of us really dont think about this until someone has died. I have alot of time left of this planet and intend to enjoy life as god gives it to me. I say get out there and enjoy yourself today and take time to rest!!

ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA

Parenting...

Ok today I am going to be alittle serious about a subject that is important. I am not a parent but would love to raise a child. It seems that I know of some mother that is having problems and I will explain.....

First off she is about 35 yrs old and has 4 child with three different men. The current man she is with is a wife beater. Well she just moved from one county to another to get away from him. Well one of the kids that doesnt live with her but with his father was at her apt over the weekend and was told not to go swimming unless his mother was with him. This child is only 10 yrs old and is not allowed to left alone at all. Well come to find out the father called and found out the mother had left to take her husband back to his parents home(since they ar seperated right now). This of course made the father very mad because this husband of hers(the wife beater) had whipped this mans child when he was 2 and a half yrs old and left black belt marks all the down his butt and leggs, so this man has custody of this 10 yr old little boy.

She was told 2 months ago that her 10 yr old wouldnt be visiting her until this man of hers was out of the picture...which the thought was she was done with him! Now she seems to want this man over her own son. I feel if someone cant be or wont be a parent then they dont need them.

I would love to help raise a child or completely raise a child for I have so much love to give someone. The only problem is my lifestyle which is really nothing anymore since all I do is work work work, but the state is picky on who they want to foster parent or adopt. I know some mothers read this blog and I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject.

This father is going for sole custody as soon as he can. The other man her husband has an anger management problem and was told yrs ago by the courts to take classes which he never did complete. One father tries to do right and one just doesnt give a shit........

Something fun to do

I saw this last year on the news and haven't yet been able to do this but for us older folks it seems like it would be a lot of fun...It is called geocaching. This is sort of like a scavengerhunt but in this you find the cache and write your name on it and place it back.....The web site gives you hints to where these caches are located in your area....I was surprised to find out that these caches are so close by and didn't even know it....You can join the email update list for free and do this for free...They say you have to find these caches without being noticed by anyone.....If anyone does this let me know how much fun it is because I want to try this but haven't had the time!!!! Enjoy and be safe

Another featured artist!

I am now featuring a special artist this week on retro videos blog. I think most of you will enjoy this artist as much as I have enjoyed looking back on some of her older stuff from the 80's! I know most gay men love her and if they had a chance they would probably sleep with her...lol....click on the link above to see who this special artist is for the week!! You wont be sorry guys and gals!!

No H.I.V please!!

Well it seems a man has knowingly given 4 people the H.I.V virus and was convicted and now he wants the courts to appeal his conviction. Well the courts say no and applaud them. I feel this man is a killer since he knew he had the virus and gave it to these 4 people that didn't want the virus. The courts sentenced him to 50 years and he should have gotten life without parole.

Definition of the word GAY!!

Once in awhile I will define a word that seems to have different meanings. Todays word is gay!! Most of you think you know the meaning fof this word but some use this word to hurt others...not anymore.

gay (g)
adj. gay·er, gay·est
1. Of, relating to, or having a sexual orientation to persons of the same sex.
2. Showing or characterized by cheerfulness and lighthearted excitement; merry.
3. Bright or lively, especially in color: a gay, sunny room.
4. Given to social pleasures.
5. Dissolute; licentious.
n.
1. A person whose sexual orientation is to persons of the same sex.
2. A man whose sexual orientation is to men: an alliance of gays and lesbians.

gayness n.
Usage Note: The word gay is now standard in its use to refer to homosexuals, in large part because it is the term that most gay people prefer in referring to themselves. Gay is distinguished from homosexual primarily by the emphasis it places on the cultural and social aspects of homosexuality as opposed to sexual practice. Many writers reserve gay for males, but the word is also used to refer to both sexes; when the intended meaning is not clear in the context, the phrase gay and lesbian may be used. Like the other names of social groups derived from adjectives (for example, Black), gay may be regarded as offensive when used as a noun to refer to particular individuals, as in There were two gays on the panel; here phrasing such as gay members should be used instead. But there is no objection to the use of the noun in the plural to refer collectively either to gay men or to gay men and lesbians, so long as it is clear whether men alone or both men and women are being discussed. See Usage Note at homosexual

So hot outside lets bake cookies

this is from news2

With temperatures soaring across Middle Tennessee, Nashville Shores, along with local light rock radio station Mix 92.9 organizers, wanting to prove that leaving children or pets inside a hot car and be extremely dangerous, if not deadly. If only for even a second, results can be tragic . At noon, cookies were placed inside a hot car and roughly 30 minutes later the cookies were done and ready to eat.

The car was roughly 80 degrees when the experiment began, but quickly shot up to 160 degrees. Organizers hope the lesson will be well learned for kids, America’s future drivers. “We're hoping this sinks in with them so they won’t ever leave their kids or critters in the car,” said Rick. The staff at Nashville Shores, of course provides plenty of shade for kids to sit and take a break from the mid-day sun. They make moneyselling Pepsi, but provide free ice water and plenty of it to keep kids well hydrated, and able to enjoy the park all day long. At 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Metro Parks' public pools will close for the season. The department will continue, however, to offer a variety of warm weather recreational options. Spraygrounds are a fun alternative to pools for cooling off during late summer. The facilities are not swimming pools, but water playgrounds consisting of acluster of spray features surrounded by a playing surface. The system is automated and operates with a computerized water sequence. Spraygrounds have a water management control system that assures water purity and also allows for the circulation of water. Community Center staff manages and supervises the facility.

The Best city in the country

I want to say how wonderful it is to live in a city with so many great people. The extreme home makeover people are in town this week to help out a family, but not just any family. The mother of this family risked her life by placing her body of her sons during the tornado in April and she lost everything, her home, her clothes, and even her ability to walk. So someone in our great city decided to see if the extreme home makeover people would help her. Well they are here now buildning her a new home. The news just showed that 24 hours a day people are volunteering for whatever needs to be done. Workers are working in this extreme heat and humidity and others are handing out water and food and whatever else that needs to be done. I guess the volunteer state has come through again. I am so happy that I live in a city with so many good people and loving people. I want to say THANK YOU NASHVILLE FOR HELPING SOMEONE THAT REALLY NEEDED IT!!!!

here is something really funny that happened yesterday in the boro...

It was so hot Monday, one local skunk trying to drink a Coke was apparently consumed by it.
Murfreesboro Police Officer Mike Fowler saw the varmint in its predicament — head stuck in an aluminum can — as he was patrolling early in the morning amid temperatures in the mid-80s on Old Salem Road.

"I just happened to be passing the area at the site of an old factory," said Fowler. "It was running around in circles bumping into things. I just kept it at bay, tried to keep it from running out in the road and being hit by a car or going across the street to an apartment complex."
Tracy Hill, director of Rutherford County Pet Adoption and Welfare Services, said the plight of this skunk is not unusual among animals.
"Especially if there is some type of food," said Hill. "We've had raccoons to get stuck in mayonnaise jars."
Veronica Mullen, an animal control officer at PAWS, said she recently went out on a call for a skunk that had a McFlurry cup stuck on it.
"It does happen," said Animal Control Officer Kim Lickteig. "They want to get a treat at the bottom of the container."
Fowler escorted the distressed skunk to PAWS around 8:30 a.m. because animal control officers were busy.
"I had to put him to sleep," said Lickteig, who said she is actually a big fan of skunks. "We are mandated by Tennessee Wildlife (Resources Agency) to put them to sleep because skunks are carrying rabies."
Lickteig applauds the police officer for risking getting sprayed and taking the time to help the skunk.
"We didn't know if it was rabid or not," said Fowler. "I was just trying to do it a service by getting the can off its head."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MTV!!

Well 25 years ago today Mtv came on the air with the first video being "video killed the radio star". I remember it coming on air and how excited I was. Times have changed for Mtv and now they dont show videos. All they show is reality shows that are very boring. I wish Mtv was like they used to be many years ago but I am only wishing. I guess I will have to stick with VH1 classic to catch all my favorites. On Tuesday its 2 for 2 tuesday on VH1 classic so guess what I will be watching some today?

Mel Gibson

Ok everyone.....Do we really care what Mel Gibson said when he was arrested? I dont care because he has a right to say what he feels and the media just blows this up for ratings. This country is allowed free speach and if someone famous says something not politcally correct then the media is all over. I dont fell that this will hurt Mr. Gibson at all, in fact it might help him more then it will hurt. This country has alot of hate towards alot of different people and that is mostly because of the media. Now gays getting married has been a touchy subject for the last year or so because one, its an election year and two, because of our wonderful media. If the media wants to cover a story then why cover a story about something good in our area not always something bad.
