I have made my mind up!

I am letting everyone know that I have now made my mind up about changing jobs and will now work for the bowling center full time starting on Jan 1st. I found out today from the owner herself that she is going to pay half of my health Ins. which is big for me since the skate center doesnt have any benefits to offer me. The pay is less than what I am making but the hours are unlimited. I able to make overtime there and still not do everything. I have 2 to 3 others a night working with me and the job is so much easier on me. The owners are very happy with my work. I have seen the owners get in there and help clean and work along side others which is rare at the rink. I thank the rink for the time and money but feel this is much better for me since I am now 40 yrs old and need insurance. If any of you get bored late at night come and grab a bite to eat or bowl a few games. I will be there some during the week until the 1st of the year.

Cookeville event

There is an event coming up tomorrow evening in Cookeville that is one everyone should not miss. The city of Cookeville will hold its Christmas parade. This parade is one I remember growing up and watching. They have the parade at night and all the floats, cars, and everything else is lite up and wow its beautiful to watch. The parade last about 2 and 1/2 hours and the streets will be lined with thousands of people from near and far. Please if you have the time to make the 1 hour trip it is well worth it. here is some info from the Cookeville paper.

What do I do?

OK everyone I have a problem I need help with. As most of you know I am working 2 jobs now. The first job I have been working for 29 months now and have maxed out on any more money per hour. the other job I can make as much as I want. I have worked over 70 hours since Monday and was suppose to go in wed to the rink to spot clean but didn't. I didn't call them because it was a holiday and no one was there. Well I did go to work there this weekend and today my boss called me and was mad as hell telling me I need to make a choice on which job I want. he went on to say he didn't think it was right that he had to vacuum the floor on Friday before they opened. I told him I had not ever missed a day or taken a day off or called in sick and he told me " your job doesn't allow you to call in sick or take any extra time off" Well people I feel I have worked my ass off for this guy and I had requested a sat off and he said I couldn't get it. He also went to say that I had put the rink on the back burner and put the bowling center on the front. Well this week I did because I wasn't getting the hours at the rink but got 40 hours in 4 days at the bowling center. He went on to tell me that I need to take a few days to think about what I want to do and let him know. I had already thought about working full time for the bowling center for I am not doing all the cleaning by myself. So my question is this folks should I go ahead and turn my 2 weeks notice in and go full time with the bowling Alley or should I just tough it out and see what happens with the rink? I wont be able to get anymore money at the rink but have a good chance in going into management with the bowling center. hmmm I feel I should make the jump and do this but not sure. help!!!

I've missed every one of you..

I have been very very busy working 2 jobs now and haven't posted in the last week and I am now listening to the podcast from last week. I have missed every one of you. I have talked to the owners of the bowling alley and they are going to think about having wi-fi for the center so the podcasters can come there for a meeting. They informed me they would love to have us come anytime for food drinks and bowling. Maybe we can just meet there for an evening of fun. The snack bar there has everything for you appetite. We are open tonight until the lat person leaves and then open again tomorrow at 3pm and we will be 24 hours again until Christmas eve. wow!!!

Well everyone I havent post in what seems like weeks but it has only been a few days. I have taken on another job at the bowling alley in Smyrna and just in the last 2 days I have worked 22 hours between the rink and the alley. I guess you can say I am tired. There is a guy at the alley that told me last night that I am stepping on toes. I go in and work my ass off and he does not do shit!!. I guess this is making him look really bad but you know what? I dont give a shit! I am there to work and not socialize. Wed night he vanished for about an hour or so and we all knew he went somewhere to sleep. Last night I got down with the rink and went to the alley to work and nothing had been done. They were not very busy. I had my part done in an hour and a half and then he came to me and told me I was making everyone look bad and I was stepping on toes. Well I went right to the owner this morning and asked him if I was stepping on anyones toes. He laughed and told me I wasnt. We talked some and I didnt say anyones name so no one will get into trouble and cause problems for me. I just think this guy is such a jerk and lazy ass that he needs to be caught screwing off on the job. I work my ass off at whatever job i do and earn my money honestly!!....more of the drama to come as it happens...stay tuned!!

Another Blog from me!!

I am now working at the Smyrna Bowling Center part time and they didnt have a web site until now and I have created them ablog. I will post alot of info and specials on here so that people can plan on coming out to have some fun. They are also open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, so come on out and see me during the week from 11pm to 7am

I'm making more $$$

Well gang I have a second job and start tonight from 11pm to 7am. That's right I will be working 6 days a week, 30 at the skating rink and 24 at the Smyrna bowling center. They called me tonight and she was so impressed with me being on the job for 28 months that she the owner wanted to hire me. She sat down with me tonight and we talked about the job and what it pays and my schedule. She is going to work around the rink hours for me bu said maybe later on down the linen she might be able to pay me more and make me a 3 rd shift mgr which I would have to leave the rink. I am happy I will be working with people now. They were busy tonight at 9pm but at midnight they had about 15 people bowling and the place looked very clean. I also wont be cleaning by myself now. There will be 2 to 3 others with me which is good. I wont be worked to death now!! I have volunteered to work Christmas night for time and a half which is good money! I will be working sun and Thursday nights after I get off the rink and also two other days during the week from 11 to 7 so everyone come out late and see me....we also get paid every week too...

8 years ago tonight!!

Well its that time of year again for something that happened to me that was really bad! I AM ALOT BETTER NOW!! I will start by telling you the events that happened.

I was working in a bar as a d.j. and on Nov 14Th at 2:30 am I was there working and drinking heavily and then a young white guy and young black guy came in to the bar. I went over and introduced myself to them and they told me they were from Alabama and had to run somewhere really fast and would return before we closed. Well they returned and we talked alittle and decided to go across the street to an after hours bar and have another drink. Well I really didn't need another drink for I had drank 7 pitchers of beer a few shots of hot damn and 2 rum and cokes. Yes I was drunk. Well I went ahead and invited them back to my home which I shared with my mother. In the stage I was in I wasn't thinking very well. We got back to my place and the white guy said he was hungry and asked me where there was to get something to eat. I told him and he left. The black guy then started to make passes at me and I said no. Well the white guy came back and we all then decided to go ahead and go to sleep. Well I had passed out and next thing I know the white guy was on top of me with a star like ninja weapon knife and he told me he was going to kill me. I was able to focus much because I was bleeding so bad from where he took a wooden bar stool and hit me with such force that he damaged the ceiling. All I could think of then was my life and somehow I got up the courage and yelled for my mother which was upstairs and when she heard me she came across the floor which this guy heard her and went up after her. He put this weapon to her throat and forced her downstairs which then he told he to lay down on the bed. With my head in the floor bleeding my mother had no idea what I looked like. She being the kind person she is calmed this young man down and after about 20 minutes he was asked to leave which he did. My mother then went upstairs to call for help and I went up after her and told they stole my car and all I was worried about was my new car I loved so much! Well we went to the hospital and they had to pull pieces of the wooden bar stole from my forehead. I then found out I had a broken cheek bone and had lost 98% of my left eye. Well a week later after me calling all over to get the police to help me they called me back and told me that my car was found on Briley Pkwy wrecked. They also told me this white guy that hurt me had went to Opryland and got hired on and left his paperwork with all his personal info in the gloovebox. They then knew who did this to me. Well my parents told me we didn't need to go to court for this would be all over the news and I somewhat agreed but we did go to court with a plee bargain. He got 5 yrs probation. Well in 2000 he got back into trouble with metro and had 12 counts against him he is now in west tn at the turney center for men and is due out in 2008. he was 19 at the time he did this to me and when he gets out he will older but will he be meaner or alot better person. I now have to start to worry again if this guy is going to be pissed at me and come and try to find me. But I hope he tries to find me for this time I am sober and can defend myself. This event has really changed me for I went through alot of stages of moods. I tried to kill myself for I was depressed over many things and then I got into the wrong group of people and got into CRACK and ECSTASY really bad. I woke up one Feb morning and decided this is not me and stopped everything cold turkey and moved into my mothers again. I want to thank my mother for everything she has done for me from saving my life and being there for me when I needed her. thank you mom!!!


Moral of the true story is hatered can kill and those that have so much hate need help!!! He did this to me because of my lifestyle...

It returns.....

I have returned today to blogger world. I know that a very small amount of you come here and read this awful blog and have wondered where I have been. I am usually very busy with work on the weekends and also sleeping but this weekend was really busy for me , for my father came into town and i spent some time with him. I only slept about 4 hours on sat. night and 5 hours last night. Man am I tired but I don't have anytime off until wed night and then go back to work on Thursday night. I have to also get the garage cleaned out and then bring the Christmas decorations up from the basement and start getting them put outside. I really have alot on my plate until things start really slowing down for me in March. I am also having a doable lunch with Kathy T. at Lenny's sub shop today and she is going to be doing a write up on me for her wrinkle series. That should interesting for you all to read about my very wild and crazy life. I have done some really weird things in life and know that some of you will look at me differently but I don't really care. I know that my true friends will still be there afterwards...well I must go and get ready for a wonderful lunch with a very dear friend! see you this afternoon

I used to live in Smyrna and know that you cant buy a bottle of wine or scotch or rum there and you have to drive alittle ways to Lavergne or the Boro. Well the measure to pass package stores failed last week but not by much. A citizen of Smyrna wrote in to the D.N.J and he is what he wrote and I will return with my thoughts afterwards.....



Those who were in favor of liquor stores in Smyrna thought we would be better off receiving the tax revenue from the liquor Smyrna citizens buy elsewhere (Murfreesboro, La Vergne and Nashville, etc.), instead of these places getting the revenue. The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce says that one liquor store in Smyrna would bring in $18,000. Each additional store would bring in less revenue.

Already alcohol is our nation's greatest drug problem, costing $190 billion a year (American Council on Alcohol Problems). Divide this by our population (300 million), and you have an average cost of $6.33 per person each year. Multiply this figure by Smyrna's population (33,000) and you have a yearly cost of $208,000. Package stores in Smyrna would have made it easier for our residents to get liquor, resulting in more drinking and more problems.

One child born with fetal alcohol syndrome, with serious birth defects, can result in costs exceeding $250,000. There are 50,000 such children born in the U.S. each year.

Hardly a day goes by that we do not hear about someone being killed by a drunken driver or as the result of domestic violence caused by drinking. Young people would have had more opportunity to drink and move on to harder drugs and overdose. Who can put a value on human life?

Steve Poole, the man most responsible for getting the package store referendum on the ballot, said he and his daughter wanted to operate a liquor store in Smyrna. Yet this man was convicted of a DUI just last year.

All citizens who want to join the celebration of keeping liquor stores out of Smyrna, and to make plans for the future, are invited to meet at the Rocking Chair Cafe in Gil's Shopping Center in Smyrna, Saturday at 9 a.m.

Ok now that he has said his peace I want to remind him that people have to drive to get the bottles they want to drink and some do like to open the bottles and have a cocktail on the way home. this is called drinking and driving you fool. If there were stores in your town then people wouldnt be risking lifes of the other towns or cities. That is the only con I can think of with this measure. Now for the pros. I feel any revenue is good! If one store can bring in $18,000 a year then that is more money that your town didnt have, for schools, police, fire and whatever. Just because you dont drink dont try to run others lives and tell us what we cant have or can have in the towns we live in!!! This is one of my pet peeves...

Could Opryland be coming back?

Well the rumors are now flying around town. I know someone that works for Gaylord and they told me a few months ago that Gaylord was thinking about bringing back Opryland but not to say anything but today an article in the Tennesseean tells of a story we all might be happy with. They still have alot of land and not sure what to do with it. hmmm could the theme park be making a comeback? God I sure do hope so!!

Why did you call?

I worked last night and was sleeping so good until a phone call came in and the caller id showed 000-000-0000 and i knew I shouldn't answer it but did. Well it was none other than everyone's friend Oscar G. He was wanting me to vote for him which I had early voted. Well this isn't the only time he has called here. I decided then to take action. I went online to google and did a search and the first site to pop up was his. Well the website description showed a number to call and guess what? I called it and had to leave a message. My message went something like this. " I work nights and think it is very rude of you to call my house. I also told him I am on the do not call list and will turn him in for calling so much. I also went on to say that I hope he will take me off his little list today and not ever bother me again. I know today is election day and this will be the last day I hope he calls here but if he ever runs again I am taking action now to stop further actions of him. I also told him before hanging up that he wont ever get my vote now since he has bothered me so many times this month. I have done things like this before. when I get upset with something or someone I call them and let them know. Example when my food is messed up I call them, When I see a stupid commercial that the advertisers think we are stupid enough to watch their ignorant ad I call them ..i.e. hand-on etc. I guess working with the public for 24 yrs I have become accustom to the ignorant folks out there and I am taking a stand this year to let them know just how stupid they are!!!

Set in my old ways now!

Well everyone I had asked for a raise since money is tight and my boss told me that I had topped out already. I guess topping out in alittle over two years means I am doing my job. He did tell me last night that i can get more hours if I need them so what I have to do is come in on my nights off and find things to clean. I guess after a month or so the skate center will be as clean as when we first opened 24 years ago. I do know this much about myself...I would have gotten mad and quit right there on the spot if I had been younger. I was a rebel back in my day!! I used to get mad at whatever job and just up and quit but now I do have a great job with some of the best bosses around. I am going to try to get used to a 40 hour work week now. I am so used to working only 30 to 32 hours but hey it all comes out the same if I got a raise or work more hours. The boss man is a good man and will do whatever it takes to make his employees happy within reason. If my boss reads this I want him to know that I wont be quiting anytime soon..not to worry!! I will of course be at work when needed and I have yet to call out or take any time off in the 27 months that I have been at my job...THAT'S A RECORD FOR ME GUYS!!!.....now its time to get ready and go vacuum again tonight and look for something dirty to clean

Vote no on Amendment 3...

You are asking me that you didnt know there is an Amendment 3 and I tell you oh you didnt know....well there really isnt an Amendment 3. I want to draw some attention to the Amendment 1. What if there was an Amendment 3 that stated that all hetrosexual marriages were being challenged by the government? Now for those that are voting yes on Amendment 1 you need to reconsider your vote and vote for what is right. Its not about gay marriage, it is really about equal rights for everyone. If everyone votes yes then they people gay straight yellow green that live together and are on each others insurance policy will be affected by this vote. I know alot of different people and we have to take a stand and vote what is right for this country. I went and vote last week and voted no because I feel that everyone should have equal rights since we all pay our taxes....

Whats up with the Titans?

I am not into football that much but I know the Titans havent had a good year in sooo long and I feel the reason is the players are more worried about going out drinking and causing problems. Thye represent this city and should act like an adult not a teenage punk. It seems that Pac man is always in trouble. Others are following his lead. Fisher needs to get his team back and get rid of the players that are acting thuggish. I feel they are paid very well and they should act like they are paid well. I feel that Pacman needs to really try to impress the city now since he has been into so much trouble. Doesnt he know that when he acts up its all over the tv and everyone from across the country knows what he did. This shit makes Nashville look like they cant find good players only THUGS!!! If I made millions of dollars I would be to scared to go out to a club in fear someone might rob me or I might do something to cause me to lose my job and my money. 37 to 7 lose is bad. Grow up Titans and get your asses on the field and win some games!!!

A post Lavergne blog wont touch!

I have just read in the D.N.J that officer Tartt and the city of Lavergne are being sued for $3 million. Tart has caused so much trouble in the past that I dont know why the city still has him working for them. Brian Hullett filed the suit in U.S. District Court. The complaint states that Officer Karl Tartt falsely arrested him on two occasions. The complaint also lists negligent hiring and/or retention by the city, abuse of process and malicious prosecution by Tartt. I dont blame this guy for suing the officer but the city as well. I pay taxes here and dont want to have my money go to this guy.

I have now found gas under $2.00 and its over by the interstate at exit 64 in Lavergne at the pilot going for $1.99 so go fill up soon because it will go back up higher and I mean much higher once the election is over with....

40 years old and finally voted!!

yippeeee. i finally got my lazy ass and went to vote. this is a first for me. just turning 40 and not voted before is weird. I did vote this time because I am sick of the way the country is being ran and hope to get some good people in plus admendment 1 was on the ballot and yes i voted no no no....the Smyrna location was busy but the wait was only 40 minutes and it didnt seem long since two of my good friends went with me. Bad Bad IVY and KATHY T plus a tag along...little cute nate. Ivy's little boy is such a cutie. Ivy did do a video while we had lunch so maybe she will share it with us soon. Thanks guys for having lunch with me. It gets lonely being off during the week and no one to talk with. You girls are the best and are wonderful friends to have. I cherish that!!

Thanksgiving poem

last year,

for Thanksgiving,

We had a blazing wood fire,

A golden-brown bird roasting,

And love was so plentiful,

I thought it would last

forever.

I'll turn the furnace up

a degree or two.

and drink a bottle of wine.

A RECIPE TO SHARE WITH YOU

7 LAYER COOKIE

1/2 cup melted butter

1 cup Gram cracker crumbs

1 cup semi sweet morsels

1 cup butterscotch morsels

1 cup coca nut shreds

1 cup pecans

1 can sweet eagle brand milk


take the melted butter and pour into a 9 by 11 pan then take the Gram crumbs and cover the butter then add the choc chips, then butterscotch chips, the coca nut, the pecans, and then the milk. bake at 350 for 40 minutes or so or until its light brown on top. let sit until cool and then ENJOY!!!. WE LOVE THIS FOR THE HOLIDAYS. MADE A BATCH 2 DAYS AGO AND LOVE THEM.....MORE RECIPES TO COME THIS MONTH !!!

Mr Bush has made more enimies

I think that alot of world leaders are voicing the opinions about the U.S.A. and from what I have gathered they are not mad at the general U.S. citizen but the Bush administration. Bush came into office and cause a big ole mess. He started a war that we seem to not be able to get out of. Gas prices went so high alot of people didn't get to eat! People suffered in New Orleans after the hurricane. The lies and corruption that is still taking place. They(republicans) state that the Dem's are to blame for everything but hey look who is in office right now! Also i read someplace that the rep. are getting donations from a gay porn king and I feel that is so wrong that they wont support anything gay but will take money from them...I have read in CNN.com that the country of Iran is not mad at the U.S.Abut mad at Bush and his office. The president of Iran is offering money to come visit the country.
