Tracking sexual preditors!

OK everyone wants to know if there is someone living near them that has been convicted of a sex crime. There was a report on news channel 5. I have the perfect solution for this problem. Since these criminals don't want to let us know where they are then we can do either of these things. First we can implant a device inside of them to track them like they do when they put someone on house arrest. Second if they have been convicted of a sex crime cut their damn penis off....extreme I know but hey we need to protect our kids. Thirdly place them out in the desert somewhere under a controlled area with guards and if they try to escape then shoot their asses. We really have to look at this problem and not wait until something else happens to our children. This being an election year we need to really get onto our officials about this problem. We are more worried about getting the laws passed with all the pork in them lets step back and look at the real problems with our country!! Our children will be running this country when we are old and not able to. What do you think? do you check regularly to see if someone lives near you? NEGLECTING A CHILD?

With everything going on with this benefit I got to think some last night at work about something that makes me very very sad. My newphew and his dad live with us and I help the 10 yr old boy with his homework and other things when his dad is at work. we are a very close family and love each other like we should. We do have our moments like every family. What makes me so very sad is the fact that his own mother wont even call her child. The last we heard from her was Aut 17th when she called to ask him how his school was going. The little 10 yr old boy asked us this week why his mother hasnt called? That right there makes me cry inside. My brother has filed for full custody for things too long to get into. If I was a parent I would never not call my child, mostly if I knew someone was trying to get him full time. What makes a person do this to their own child? Does any mothers out there feel this is right or this should be going on? The mother in question has done this before but not for this long. She is married to a husband beater and had kicked him out and she moved two counties away but now we think she is back with him because she hasnt called. I feel she has choose her man over her own son. Would anyone do that? NOT ME!!

Skate center Smyrna!!

the skate center of Smyrna will of course be the place we will be meeting on Oct 10th for our "CHRISTMAS FOR THE CHILDREN" bENEFIT. The fun starts at 6:30pm and goes until 9pm! The skate center hasnt yet updated their website for next month. Paul Plunkett has been the manager there for over 22 years and is known in town to be one of the most respected men around! Whats up with wal-mart?

I went to wal-mart last night here in smyrna after work to pick up a few things. I hadn't been there since right after Christmas last year and heard they did a remodel. Well I went to the store about 3:30am this morning when no one was there. the store looked nice even though everything was moved around but the depts looked much bigger. I was shopping when I saw a lady I knew from a few yrs ago and we talked about the holidays coming and I said I had to come in soon and put my things on lay-away and she said" we don't have lay-away anymore" I am like WHAT??? She said it was not making the company any money so the got rid of it. How can this not make wal mart any money when at thanksgiving they have to order in trailer trucks to put lay aways in there plus the long lines of people. I don't understand what the are thinking. I told her wal mart is changing and its not for the good she laughed. I know alot of people use the layaway for their kids gifts because they cant afford to buy them all at once so this yr it is going to hurt some families. which I guess will mean more kids needing help from Bob Parks....wow I didnt realize the affect something does have on people......if you cant skate please just come out and spend alittle time and money for this great cause on Oct 10th!!! call me if you want to donate anything...995-2636

A SWEET PERSON!!

I had the most wonderful lunch buddy today. I met with Kathy T. today and we had lunch. This was my first time meeting her and I have found a new friend from online. I really enjoyed our talk over lunch and we talked about the bloggers meeting and this special event coming up. I feel everyone should have the positive attitude that she does. I knew from speaking with her on the phone and online that she was a very sweet and open minded person. Kathy and myself also talked about how the world of bloggers is like a big ole family and I have yet to meet everyone else but soon I will pop in to a meeting and be know to all!!! There is always something special about someone being secret so let the suspense begin to everyone now on what I really look like and my attitude!! once again thanks Kathy for a great lunch and I enjoyed the company today!!

I need a volunteer

I have a costume at the skate center that we will be able to use. It is of roller roo and I am needing someone to wear it the night of our fundraiser on Oct 10th. If you can do this drop me a note and let me know. I also have the school menu's printing the oct 10th event on them to get out to the schools which is something the skate center already does for free so this will help get the message out to the ckildren, which we need to teach our kids to give back to others when needed. I am going to be very busy today on the phone getting things donated but if you can donate any goods or services let me know. we only have 2 weeks to get this together so help us out nashville smyrna and lavergne. Bob Parks raises about $50,000 to $60,000 a year for the entire company to do parties all over the area plus for the gifts but we in smyrna and lavergne need alittle hep with our raising of money this yr...lets put our pride forward and do this now guys!!!

since we bloggers are challenging I want to challenge the schools and see which one will bring the most kids to raise money for their peers less fortunate....which town will bring the most Smyrna or Lavergne? lets spread the word and pack the place for a tuesday night.

UPDATE ON FUNDRAISER!

I am trying to do my best here to help out Kathy T. for she told her boss she would take this fundraiser over but she cant do this alone so I am doing alot here tonight to get things done. I have emailed the Titans cheerleaders to see if they can send the mascot or a fw of the cheerleaders to this function. I emailed a few of news2 personal to see what they can do for me and I emailed someone about trying to get some things donated by some of the famous people here in Nashville for our silent auction. I even contacted a radio staion to see what they can donate . WOW I didnt know what is involved in planning a function like this but hey it makes one feel good inside to give back to the community they live in. I have been there in the past and now its my turn to give back. any suggestions on what else we can do?

The fundraiser!!

Ok everyone I just talked with Kathy T. . and this fundraiser is now planned for Oct 10th on a tuesday night from 6:30pm till 9pm. We want everyone that can to show up and help us out. I am going to work with local businesses to see about them donating some goods or services so we can have a silent auction that night too. anyone that would like to help may contact either myself or Kathy T at our blogs! Come on Smyrna/Lavergne lets make this a annual event to help out these kids that wont have a christmas unless we help them!!!


I also would like everyone that kids in schools to help us out by getting enough flyers printer up for every kid to take hom from the area school. I know this would cost some money for one person to make flyers from every school but we we just had a few parents from each school to do this and have the schools hand them out this would help. This is going to be a big undertaking for Kathy and myself but I feel we can do this and make sure we have abig turnout for this event. any ideas would be helpfull...

I talked to Kathy T. and we have talked about maybe helping those kids out with Christmas. My work is going to work with Bob Parks reality and maybe do a special skate night where we can donate a new unwrapped toy to have a donation bucket set up to donate to this great cause. If you haven't been skating in yrs this is a great opportunity to bring the family and get your skates on. The skate center is one of the best places to bring the family for they don't play music that is bad and the atmosphere is great for all! My boss has been the manager for over 22 yrs now and is one of the best people around in town. I will talk more with Kathy T. about this as we plan more about this so I want everyone that reads this that is local to come out when we have this special function and help raise some money for these kids!! Lets show our Smyrna/Lavergne pride!!

Murfreesboro's new neighbor!

Well it looks like a few people int he boro aren't very happy with a new neighbor
Well I think it is about time the boro grew up and got some adult businesses. I know the church going people are up in arms about this but hey your church doesn't pay a bit of taxes so get the hell over it! A variety of businesses is good because we have a variety of people living here! I wont be going to this adult store but I know alot of people will since its new and its also in a college town. I have in the past went to a few of them in Nashville but since I am older I just don't go to them anymore. I feel it was about time something like this came along for the city. great job for whoever owns it and hope you do good business

Gas price update!!

well everyone the prices are still coming down today here in Lavergne at the citgo at exit 64 it is $2.19 which for me means a fill up today. Now in Dayton Ohio it is $1.94 in some parts yes $1.94. the prices are going down but I feel they will go back up after the elections. I wish we could buy and store our own gas at this price.

Ok everyone I am not much into politics but I saw an tv ad last night and I am going to blog about my feelings. The ad was from his opponent Jum. It states that there is currurption in Phils administration but come on this happens in everyone administration. You cant blame Phil for peoples action. Phil has been a really good governor. the ad also states the illegal immagration which if you look at it it start many many yrs ago before Phil was in office. Next it stats tenn care which he pulled alot of sick people off but wait a minute he pulled alot of people that were using the system and frauding our government. He did create a new insurance plan for us that really need which is myself because I couldnt get tenncare. If everyone remembers right when he first got into office he didnt get paid for the yr. Now will Jim do that? Dont think so. Jim will be more about trying to get himself a raise then work a year for free. If you going to run an ad on tv just be honest and dont try to lie about the other person running against you. Phil also has brought more jobs in the satate as well. Look at the headquarters of Nissan moving here. The republicans didnt get them to come here Phil did. Now go and talk trash about someone else!!

I have an idea!!

I was thinking last night at work and wondered if there is anyone out there that would like to maybe talk about opening a part planning business with me? I don't think there is one in this area and I feel with the growth it could be a big seller. I know there would be alot of work involved first but hey what the heck....I had thought before about opening up a ice cream shop in Lavergne..a mom and pop type place where you can get ice cream ,hot dogs, hamburgers, and anything else. I know of a location in ton that would be just great for one...the old gourmet pizza place...or I also thought of opening up a really nice teen club with game room...the location would be across from the skating rink where the building is 6,000 sq feet and already equipped with the things we need except the games and food...if anyone would like to maybe be a private investor let me know. I have many yrs in retail and fast food management so I wouldn't think it would be any trouble to run a small business like these......

As we go into the month of October I have learned that my brother is going to Cookeville in the next few weeks to work for my dad at his new used car lot. He will be gone alot during the week and has asked me if it is ok with me if me and my mother help with his son while he is away. I said yes and dont mind helping since I already help alot with homework and watching him during the day. This little boy is such a joy to be around. wE HAVE TO DO THIS UNTIL SUMMER TIME SO THE SON CAN STAY IN SCHOOL AND NOT BE MOVED UNTIL THEN. When he does move I will miss him so much but its not far for a small trip up to see him. Family is special to me and some people take that for granted....

whooo hooo the ... prices of gas is going down but this is because its an election year stated by the DNJ....In some locations the price of gas is now $1.96...this gives us hope that it will be that here soon

Needing some relaxation?

I enjoy going to Cedars of Lebanon every few months just to get away from life. how wrong is this?

Well our judical system has really gone to the dogs. I dont understand how someone can commet murder and get away with it. If something like that happened to me then I would go to jail for a long time but some of these criminals are just using the system to get away with murder. an article today in the Tennessean state that the guy that testified for Perry March is getting off with murder. We need to stand up and take our courts back and not let this happen. This guy will end up doing something else illegal now that he is off with murder!!!

time goes by.....

OK all ...A blogger had a birthday the other day and it has me thinking now. I will be turning the 40 next month and it doesn't seem that I am that old but I am. I have heard it is all downhill from 40 but don't want to believe that. I feel like I am only 21 or so and have alot of life in me. I had planned on taking the weekend off and going out of town but I have changed my mind and decided to change my plans and go out of town on my 3 days off I normally have. So I am going to work on my birthday weekend and then in Nov. I am going to the cabin for some great rest and relaxation.

I have a question for you and wondered if it was just me that feels this way. Is it me or is time just flying by? It seems like it was just yesterday that it was June or July and now Sept is already gone. Wow where is the time going? stop and let me off...lol

Its getting out of hand!!

I seem to think that sueing people is something that everyone does now. I think it is getting way out of hand. If someone does something to you to hurt you then you can sue but not for every little thing. I have read on D.N.J
today that these parents are sueing the school for not protecting their child from another child. I think instead of sue the school they should the parents of the kid in question. Parents need to be accounable for their childs actions...that means teach your child to have morals and be respectfull I dont think that parents should teach their kids early to be sexually active. teach them right from wrong. I know some parents( Kathy T.) has raised great kids!!! I my myself help my brother with his son and he knows right from wrong.....

We actually received a call last week from the 809 area code. The woman said "Hey, this is Karen. Sorry I missed you--get back to us quickly. I Have something important to tell you." Then she repeated a phone number beginning with 809 "We didn't respond".

Then this week, we received the following e-mail:

This one is being distributed all over the US . This is pretty scary, especially given the way they try to get you to call.
Be sure you read this and pass it on.
They get you to call by telling you that it is information about a family member who has been ill or to tell you someone has-been arrested, died, or to let you know you have won a wonderful prize, etc.
In each case, you are told to call the 809 number right away. Since there are so many new area codes these days, people unknowingly return these calls.

If you call from the US , you will apparently be charged $2425 per-minute.

Or, you'll get a long recorded message. The point is, they will try to keep you on the phone as long as possible to increase the charges. Unfortunately, when you get your phone bill, you'll often be charged more than $24, 100.00.

WHY IT WORKS:

The 809 area code is located in the British Virgin Islands (The Bahamas).
The charges afterwards can become a real nightmare. That's because you did actually make the call. If you complain, both your local phone company and your long distance carrier will not want to get involved and will most likely tell you that they are simply providing the billing for the foreign company. Well CNN just reported that the reason gas prices are dropping is because the President is manipulating the gas companies into dropping prices for the Republicans. its nice to have cheaper gas but I am still not going to vote for you shitty people that have this country in such a mess!!!

It is almost that time of year again for the die hard shopper to be out there shopping for the best bargain. Black friday to most is the day after thanksgiving and it when the malls and stores are so busy I wouldnt be caught dead in one. I worked at wal mart back in the 1990's and dreaded the day after. I was electronics dept mgr and the fisrt year for me was crazy. That ia the year when nintendo came out with the 64 game system and we had about 50 on hand and when we opened the doors at 6am my god the mad rush to my dept. I remember doing $175,000 just in that day alone.Well its coming and if you usually get a game plan then dont wait until thanksgiving day to see the ads. you can now see all the good ads here coming in Oct. have fun and shop safely...merry christmas to you early!!

History for me!

I was born in the north, Ohio by the way. When I moved here in 1980 I grew to love this flag for its history not its racism. Some people think this is a flag for just that. Its not. It is apart of all our history. Just the other night The neighbor and I were outside talking and she said her son yelled racism the other day at school and she didn't think that was good. I asked her myself why do many black people yell that when things don't go their way and she said because they are ignorant. I can talk about this all day and really get people to think about what is racism and what is not. The KKK is a racist group and if your a member then your racist but if you have a comment about a news article or just general comment then your not racist.

Well it seems some of us were getting high and partyng some when they got pulled over by the cops. What did the cops do? They gave them a citation and released them but if it was little of me back in the day I would have been arrested and taken to jail. I guess since someone has celebrity status i doesnt matter. Sex education!

Well when I was in school I never heard of this taboo thing. The thing I refer to is a teacher having a sexual fling with a kid in my school. Nowadays it seems the norm for a teacher that we trust to teach our kids to be having a sexual affair with one of theeir students. I know these teachers are innocent until proven guilt but why do they do this? I know that some kids just want attention so they try and lie about this but most of the time the teachers are found guilty. A recent teacher at Smyrn high school is under investigation for kissing 2 of his female students. I feel that we are adults should know alot better and try to do anything with children. What is our country coming to?

Well it sure is funny that the illegal immigrants come to this country, steal our goods and services (hospital visits, education, ect) and then cry when the Government raids a town and they are sent packing back to Mexico. Alot of our jobs have left the country for Mexico and you want to come here!! I have blogged about this issue before and have many different people comment about what they think. I understand that people need to make a living a raise a family but if you are going to come to our country then please do it legally and this wont happen to you.

i HAVE HAD IT !!!

I have had it with the teens that are acting up in this town....today at 11:45am 40 to 50 afirican american teens came on our street ready to fight someone and it was total madness. the police was called and when the police got here the teens were running...if your a parent in Lavergne and dont know what you child is doing during the day then you better sit them down and have a nice little talk with them because it is affecting others that have to live here. I call the school and no one answered the phone so it rang into the main office in the boro. the lady there acting like it was funny by saying well lavergne plays riverdale tonight and maybe some of the lavergne players will not playing tonight and riverdale will win....the teens that were here were in school jerseys and even one chearleader was seen...do we as a people now have to fear these teens? I think not!!! dont bring your problems in my neighborhood.....I know most teens are good kids but the bad apples are bot going to be tolerated here....

well gas prices are dropping around the country and in some places the price of gas is down to $2.07 a gallon....wow will that happen here? I guess since the elections are near the republicans have an influence on the prices so they can try to get voted back into office...well we are not stupid....lol enjoy the prices while they last because they will go back up if the republicans control the government again...mark my words on this guys!!

I want a fair!

I have always wondered why rutherford county doesnt have a fair. I know that williamson county just started their fair back a few years ago and I feel that rutherford county would be good for a county fair. I can smell the funnel cakes and sausages cooking now and then can visin the FFA exhibits. Come on county leaders lets get with the program here and build a fairgrounds sine the county is growing so much. I have so many memories of the county fair in cookeville back in the early 1980's. I just wish the kids now adays could exp. this feeling of fun. I want to know what is your favorite ride as a child mine is pictured above and it took me many years to get the courage up to even ride this ride but now i cant wait to jump on it.....

Well you know its that time of year when you turn on the TV and see ads from politician's that are mud slinging...I hate when they try to tell me who is doing bad in office or the lies they tell about the other candidate....just be truthful...or wait they cant because they are politicians...lo

now I have yet to hear about a gay couple leaving their kid in a locked car when its hot outside or beating the kid till he is black and blue or tieing him up and starving him, or neglecting him....

GETTYSBURG, Pennsylvania (AP) -- A woman facing drug charges admitted in court that she smoked marijuana with her 13-year-old son, often to reward him for doing his homework.
Amanda Lynn Livelsberger, 30, pleaded guilty to several misdemeanor drug charges Monday in Adams County court.
She admitted she had been smoking marijuana with her son since he was 11 and said she had also smoked with two of his friends, ages 17 and 18.
Livelsberger pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of corruption of minors, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small of amount of marijuana.
She will be sentenced on November 27.

92% of Americans Would Vote For A Woman Presidential Candidate

(CBS) As has been the case for a number of years, nearly all Americans say they would vote for a woman for president from their own political party if she were qualified, a CBS News/New York Times poll has found. And while a significantly smaller majority thinks America is actually ready to elect a woman president, that number is still the highest ever found by a CBS News poll.

Ninety-two percent of adults now say they would vote for a woman for president from their political party if she were qualified for the job. This support has increased steadily over the past 50 years.

In a Gallup poll conducted in 1955, 52 percent said they would support a woman for president. That number rose to 73 percent in 1975 and to 82 percent in 1987.

DO you want a female for president? I know it would be nice if we did. A female would make sure things would run right plus if Hillary was president then Bill would get to help her with things too and then the country might get back to pre-bush times. a better economy and no deficit!!!!!

I have always looked at someone and can tell what their personality is by their pic. I study the pic and can tell if someone is caring, funny, wild, conservitive, very ourgoing, sad, lonely, bitchy, and etc. This can be fun to try and read someone just by their picture. I am nervous!!

Ok guys I am alittle nervous. You ask me about what? Well there is the monthly blogger meeting in Smyrna this Sat and I am going but feel alittle nervous about this. I am not sure how I will be accepted to this new group since my lifestyle is different from most. I was thinking last night about all those people that lost their lives on this date back in 2001. It is so sad that these people had started their day at work and never got to enjoy this day or go back home to their families.

Do you remember what you were doing on this day back then? I was at home and remember when the planes hit the towers. I kind of felt alittle panicy. I thought myself we were at war and something like the movie "RED DAWN" was happening and had no idea what to really do. I do remember going to the school to pick up my nephew and it seemed to me that every parent had the same idea and was upset that this was going on and wanted to be with their children.

A Murfreesboro man was arrested three times in less than five days of charges of felony possession of marijuana.

Rutherford County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Merritt, 39, of 1715 Minerva Road in Murfreesboro on Friday night, seizing 2.5 pounds of marijuana.

On Saturday, La Vergne Police Department’s narcotics unit — along with the department’s Special Operations Group — took Merritt down with 23 pounds of marijuana. The narcotics unit and the sheriff’s deputies conducted a joint operation on Tuesday in La Vergne, and found another 39 pounds of the drug. Merritt also had Lortab on him when arrested, police said.

Merritt was charged with felony possession of Schedule VI (marijuana) by sheriff’s deputies on Friday and two counts of felony possession of Schedule VI and felony possession of Schedule III (Lortab) by La Vergne police on Tuesday.

Another unnamed suspect is in federal custody at this time, La Vergne police said.

SMYRNA — A man was arrested at Todd Lane Baseball Complex Tuesday evening after stabbing another man in the throat, police said.

George Garner allegedly stabbed aman, whose name has not been released, over a domestic dispute, said Detective Sgt. Scott Byers, public information officer of the Smyrna Police Department.

An off-duty Metro Nashville police officer intervened and was able to direct Garner's hand away from the victim's carotid arteries, Byers said. The victim was taken to StoneCrest Medical Center for treatment.

Garner is being held at the Rutherford County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Todd Lane Baseball Complex is located within walking distance of four schools -- Smyrna Primary, David Youree Elementary, Thurman Francis Arts Academy and Smyrna Middle.

I am going to say I am sorry if I have made some people upset because of my post about teens and mexicans. I wasnt going to talk about this until November but since the issue has come up about being racist then let me tell you my story....back in November of 1998 I was working at a gay club as a d.j. and that evening I had a few cocktails in me and when i drink i get flirty...well about 230am 2 guys came into the club and had a drink and i talked with them....one thing lead to another and i invited them to stay at my house becuase they had told me they were from Ala. and they had been drinking as well and didnt want to drive all the back home.....once at my home we talked some and the one guy went to bed...the other guy(white) sat and talked with me some and one thing lead to another and things happen but was agreed upon. after things happpened he told me to go get into my bed and he would be there shortly...so I went on to bed and passed out...next thing I know this guy had hit me with a barstool over the head and was on top of me telling me he was going to kill this faggot....lucky my mother lived up stairs in the upper part of the house and heard the commotion and he went after her too but she calmed him down and asked him to leave about 20 minutes later......what I am trying to get at is this kid 19 yrs old was trying to be a gangster and I dont trust anyone now that even looks like one!!!!
